Guru Ravi Das

I am still studying, but so far, I have not come across a period in the history of any country, when it produced poet saints all across, constantly for three centuries, a period known as 'Bhakti Kaal'(14th to 17th century). The country is India. Das,
Tulsi Das, Kabir, Soor Das,Guru Nanak, Dharma Das, Maluk Das, Dadudayal, Sunder Das, Agra Das, Nabha Das and Pran Chand Chauhan, Nand Das, Parmananda Das and Mirabai, Ras Khan, a Muslim devotee of Krishn and Aarde Khan, a devotee of Ram. And Poets who believed love was the path of realizing God were called Sufi Poets. Jayasi, Manjhan, Kutuban and Usman ,,,,,,, .

It is the birth Anniversary of Guru Ravi Das, a Sant (saint) born in a socially lowly placed family, but his sainthood made him to be Mira Bai, the Rajpoot princess turned Krishn devotee.He led a pure life and urged society to give up vices and devote themselves to the lotus feet of the Lord. His teachings had a considerable impact on Indian society.

Guru Ravidas wrote tow collections namely Sarvangi and Panchvani,the and his writings are also a part of Guru Granth Sahib(that is reverend by 'Keshdharies'(those who grow hair)& Sahajdharis(those who do not as Sri Chand and Lakkhi Chand, the sons of Guru Nanak).

1) षट् कर्म कुल संजुगतु है हरि भगति हिरदै नाहि !
चरनारबिंद न कथा भावै सुपच तुलि समानि ॥

रे चित चेति चेत अचेत
काहे न बालमीकहि देख ॥

किसु जाति ते किह पदहि अमरिओ राम भक्ति विशेश् !
सुआन सत्रु अजातु सभ ते क्रिस्न लावै हेतु ॥
Translation-"Even if a person performs the six karmas and comes from a good family, without Bhakti of Hari he is equal to a dog eating outcaste(swapach)
Why don't you look at Valmiki? From which Jati and Pada(position) was he? He has become immortal. Bhakti is most sublime"
Sadly, Cast politics robbed Ravi Das from being a mainstream saint, to to a saint to just A class. He was a humble saint. I bow to him in all humility!

It is the birth anniversary of General Arunkumar Shridhar Vaidya. He was born on January 27, 1926

No media has reported this, It is the birth anniversary of General Arunkumar Shridhar Vaidya. He was born on January 27, 1926 and was commissioned in the Armoured Corps in 1945 and saw battle during the Second World War. He served the Indian army religiously for more than four decades, attaining the highest position in it.
After operation Bluestar, being a Hindu, General Vaidya began receiving death threats from Sikh extremists (Khalistanis) and was said to be high on a Sikh assassination list, although the field commanders in Op 'Bluestar' were Gen.K.S.Barar, (a Jat Sikh who, thank God, is still safe. Lets pray for him to remain away from crazy harms way for all his life) and Gen. Sundarjee (a Tamilian with two wives. A spunk less General who rose to the position of its Chief, who could not say NO to Rajiv Gandhi's immature IPKF decision, but a visionary who could see future. He modernised Indian Army as no one before him did).
Gen Vaidya was gunned down on August 10, 1986 by the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) militants Harjinder Singh aka Jinda and Sukhdev Singh, aka Sukha.
According to a 263-page memoir, published by Rupa & Co. on operation Bluestar, writer revealed that "Shifting to Pune cost Gen. Vaidya his life"?
Shamelessly, the Khalistani inspired and financed Sikhs made a movie , glorifying the dastard killers of Gen.Vaidya. Perhaps one of the the right decisions taken by Mr. Manmohan Singh lead Congress government was banning of this film.
I wish they also make some films of Khalistanis Terrorist who killed innocent Hindus. Kidnapped , raped and Killed attractive women, irrespective of creed. cast or faith.... and did not even refrain from urinating in the 'Holy Sarovar'(Holy bathing pond of devotees), and defecating inside the very Golden temple (at Amritsar) itself, just to save their lives.
The truth has to be told. I'll be unfair to the posterity, if I didn't.
